After countless arguments and a dozen videos on this matter, it's only fate that I should finally get it when Thomas promisifies Math.random while I'm in the middle of a 13 hour bus ride lol

— Now that you get monads, you will loose your ability to explain it according to Crockford

— No, it appears to be a fairly simple concept

— Your program forks at the point of creating a monad

— Everything inside it is its own program

— In Haskell it's even more so

— You set up the entire chain first, and the monad logic runs last

— But order doesn't matter of course
